My dear friend Eric Williams is in dire need of receiving a lot of kindness from strangers!!!
For the past couple of years Eric has known that he has a bad heart valve that would eventually need to be fixed. After an unexpected 15 day stay in the hospital, the experts decided that the time to have that heart valve fixed is NOW! So in about a month Eric will again check into the hospital for that life saving surgery. Thankfully he has insurance which will cover a lot. But there will be pretty sizable co-pays. When he comes home he will need to hire "round the clock" care for the first week or two. And then he will face a recovery that will take 3-4 months. Eric is self-employed, running two online business, and like so many of us who are self-employed, Eric wears most of the hats. AND like so many of us who are self-employed, Eric does not have a fat bank account to fall back on when times are tough. His 15 day stay pretty much wiped out all that he had in reserves. For those 3-4 months he can't work, his ONLY income will be a very meager Social Security check. He is terrified that he will survive physically but not financially.
Eric is a big teddy bear who will always try to help out others but his pride won't let him appear needy or desperate. He is not too happy with me setting up this appeal. But too bad! ERIC IS NEEDY AND DESPERATE!!!
