Keep The Transgender Institute Open

The Transgender Institute needs help keeping the doors open until it can obtain non-profit 501(c)(3) status!

has been the leading center for mental health and transitioning assistance for transgender and questioning individuals in Kansas City and around the country.  Featuring the world-class Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor Caroline Gibbs with over 17 years of experience serving the transgender community, The Transgender Institute provides therapy and services consistent with the DSM-5 and WPATH standards of care. 

The Transgender Institute  (TTI) was founded by Caroline Gibbs as a work of love.  As an LLC, TTI is able to provide services for direct compensation, and a very limited amount of pro bono work.   Recently, however, the demand for reduced cost services has bloomed.  

Caroline's time is split between income generating services, pro-bono work, compensated and uncompensated trainings for business and other organizations, and administrative duties.  Her volunteers help where possible, but even these resources have stretched thin in the recent months.  

Over the last few months, TTI's focus on serving the low-income transgender community has reduced revenue to the point of endangering its ability to perform this work, which is why TTI is pursuing non-profit and 501(c)(3) status.  

TTI need your help to bridge the gap between now and when TTI can pursue grant and donor contributions.  With your help, TTI can continue to provide the essential mental health services which have been proven to reduce rates of suicide in transgender individuals.  

The $9000 goal of this campaign will keep TTI's doors open for at least 6 more months, keep utilities going, and provide for continued services for those in need.

PS:  TTI would also benefit greatly from donated professional business services such as legal services for businesses, accounting services, and administrative services.
