Tranquilbuzz Coffee House ☕️
Located at 300 N Arizona St., Silver City, NM 88061
Since 2017, time and time again we watch patrons walk into Tranquilbuzz with amazement. Yes, it's a unique and special place hand-built and transformed by our visionary founder. There are tree branches inside when you look up, and a painted sky too. Rustic tables, benches, and shelves made by Buzz owner, Dale Rucklos, are throughout the shop and our magical outdoor garden area and casita. It's got that ole mercantile feeling. Everywhere you look, inside and out, there is art, story and culture.
Our Buzz community emits a whole lot of vibrancy. A great gathering place where you can sip your favorite beverage, munch your favorite pastry or lunch fare, kick back and enjoy the spirit of connection. Play chess/checkers, enjoy the lending library, partake in open mics, live music concerts, poetry, local author readings, storytelling, and more.
11/27/25 - As many of you know, one week ago, we rejoiced in the fact that we thought our espresso machine was repaired after it stopped working. We found out differently that the fix was temporary, and it started having the same problems. This was at no fault of Fred, our service tech. These machines are like cars when they get old you can end up spending a small fortune on trying to fix the problem(s).
Dale decided to put our old machine to rest and purchase a new one. That being said, we are serving coffee and chai and other assorted drinks until our new machine comes in. We don’t have a timetable for its delivery yet. Will keep you all posted. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
12/2/25 - We are doing our utmost to replace our 10 yr. old Espresso machine that died a couple weeks ago. We tried to repair it. Doing so is very costly because there’s no one close to Silver City to repair it. Now we’ve had to borrow money to buy a new machine. At this time, we don’t know when the new machine will arrive.
What we need the Buzz Family community to know is that everyday since the machine died 2 weeks ago, we are losing substantial business every day. With that being the situation, we are not sure if we can stay in business between now and when the new machine arrives. We are doing our best to keep the Buzz afloat.
Despite the popularity of the Buzz, we have always been, and continue to be, a break even business. We do not draw an income from the shop. Our daily business currently is as low as it was during covid when we just scraped by. It doesn’t feel good to be back there again.
In this interim period, while waiting for an espresso machine, we are holding on by a thread. Eventho we are unable to serve you the drink of your optimum choice right now, we hope that you will show up to purchase other drink options, breakfast, brunch, and lunch; quiche, empanadas, pastries, pumpkin pie, and local retail shopping.
In this Season of giving, if there was any critical and prudent time for extending goodwill, this is it!
