SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD FACING EVICTION

Mental health challenges are adding to the struggles faced by a family in our area and KidsTLC's SOS program needs your help to keep them in their home. A current client who has received services in three of KidsTLC's programs and his widowed, working mother are facing immediate eviction from their 1-bedroom apartment. Mom works more than 50 hours per week, but with the financial burden of losing two husbands paired with the traumatic, emotional impact this has had on the child, they are struggling to pay for basic necessities, including rent, insurance and utilities.

This young child is diagnosed with a neurological development disorder and is on the autism spectrum. He has suffered repeated bullying and struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts. KidsTLC provides services to meet his mental health needs, but the stability provided by a safe home environment is crucial to his overall well-being. 

Funds will be used by KidsTLC to immediately eliminate the current eviction process and take care of past-due monthly expenses. Mom is on-track to regain financial stability, but desperately needs the community's support during this difficult time to help meet her son's basic needs.
