Protect NAU Instructors - Both Faculty and Graduate Student - with Life-saving Equipment
NAU instructors face a return to classrooms without adequate protection. The administration’s plans to build plexiglass dividers and assess accurate safe occupancy levels in classrooms have been abandoned.
No coordinated plans exist for distributing any protective gear more effective than cloth masks. Some have found protective accommodations, but too many will be walking into classrooms on Monday without essential tools.
This campaign aims to fund the purchase of effective Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – particle rated masks and plastic face shields – to distribute them to faculty and graduate students in need. All donations will go solely to that effort.
Protect our faculty and graduate students by giving today and spreading the word. Our educators should not serve in danger when the tools to help are at hand.
Details
This initial $1000 goal will provide one plastic face shield and five KN95 particle-rated masks for 80 instructors whose need has been identified. There are likely many more. As we identify additional departmental and instructor needs, we will update the goal.
Any amount helps. $15 dollars ensures PPE for one in-person instructor.
