Keep my wife's therapy doggy alive

Dear family and friends,

This is a desperate cry for help in order to keep our four-legged son alive.  Our little Chace is currently suffering from 7 bladder stones that are obstructing his urinary ways.  Chace urgently needs to undergo a surgical procedure to remove the bladder stone that threaten his life.  We wouldn’t be imploring for your help if it wasn’t for the fact that we’re dealing true life-changing medical challenge that is putting a dent in our family budget.  My wife Myra is valiantly combating Brain Cancer (Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme) and recently underwent a second surgery to remove recurrent tumor tissue. She is doing well, gathering her strength to commence a second chemotherapy treatment, in combination with an immunotherapy product, and a medical device that is helping keep the tumor at bay, given that this is a rather aggressive cancer.  We’re extremely thankful that our medical insurance covers a significant portion of the expenses; however, covering copays related to a never-ending number of medical visits and pharmacy prescriptions, is a heavy burden for our family to bear.

To say that Chace is our pet is a gross understatement.  This cute little guy is truly our 4th child (we have 3 daughters), we love him to death, and we want to keep him around, since he is Myra’s companion and his company is fully therapeutic for her.  He has refused to leave her side since her diagnosis and his constant companionship and love has kept her going strong through radiation, several rounds of chemo, and both surgeries.  We never thought that having a furry little friend by her side would have had such a paramount effect on her recovery, having him in our lives has truly been a blessing.

The money we’re trying to raise will be entirely used for covering Chace’s surgical, hospitalization and medicine-related expenses.  This heart-wrenching experience has taught us a tough lesson. We need to have medical insurance for our furry children. We have a wellness plan and, while it helps us keep Chace healthy, it does not cover any surgical procedures or any type of analysis (e.g., X-Rays) needed for proper diagnosing.  Sadly, since Chace’s bladder stones issue was diagnosed a few weeks ago, and he was doing very well until now, it is considered a pre-existing condition that is not going to be covered by any insurance plan we decide to enroll in, at this time. If you have a four-legged family member, please get medical insurance for them.  We can’t allow them to suffer, particularly since they willingly give their life for us!

My family and I, and particularly my wife Myra, thanks you beforehand for any contribution you generously decide to share with us, irrespective of the amount.  We’re convinced that continuing to have Chace close to Myra is key to her own recovery and, God Willing, prompt remission. BTW, please pray for Myra, if can. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
