On November 1st, we will need to decide whether we are going to renew our lease. Our landlords at the Music Hall have been more than willing to work with us and are sympathetic to our situation, which is one reason we think we can make things work in the long term with your help. We are at a point where we need capital to ensure we can continue paying rent if we continue to be closed. So our decision to renew will be heavily based on what kind of help we can get in the next month. If we cannot renew, the theater will be converted for another use.
We are a small and flexible company that can easily reopen when the time comes. We keep costs low and focus on trying to find a diverse set of films for movie obsessed Angelenos. This endeavor was started with an optimistic belief that people still love going to see movies in theatres. Our first months open gave us the belief that we were right. As small business owners and entrepreneurs, the help we can get in such a dark time would allow us to fulfill a once in a lifetime opportunity that a once in a lifetime pandemic has put into jeopardy.
Thank you for hearing our story,
