“Keep Fay’s Cooking – Help Save a Saskatchewan Treasure”
Donation protected
Fay is turning 85 years old and still runs her own full-service restaurant in Silton, Saskatchewan — by herself. Every day, she’s up early to cook homestyle breakfasts, burgers, and full meals for whoever walks through her door. Bacon, eggs, toast, potatoes, jam, peanut butter, and a smile — all for just $12.95.
But like many small-town restaurants, times are tough. Fay doesn’t want help — she doesn’t ask. But we’re asking on her behalf.
Why we’re raising funds:
Fay’s natural gas has been shut off because she owes $4,000 in unpaid bills. That means it’s much harder to cook and serve the community she’s dedicated her life to.
This isn’t about charity. This is about community. About honouring someone who has spent her life feeding others, keeping a beloved little diner alive when most would have given up decades ago.
If 200 people donate just $20, we can wipe out the utility debt and keep the griddle hot. We are raising a bit more to get her through the year.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward paying down her gas bill and essential restaurant costs (utilities, supplies, etc.). If we go over, any surplus will help her stay afloat through the next tough season.

❤️ Let’s Keep Fay Cooking
If you’ve ever had a meal in a place where the food was made with love — where the cook knows your name, or brings out extra bacon just because — you’ve already experienced what Fay gives to her community.
Let’s give her something back.
