Help Cultured Palate- Cuban Food, Cocktails & Wine

See what makes Cultured Palate- Cuban Food, Cocktails and Wine so special and why we need your help to keep it open!

Jorge and Angela have been together since they were 18 yrs. old. Jorge is 1st generation Cuban American. Angela comes from a cultured background and has been involved with the wine industry for over 15 years. Jorge says he's the Culture, but Angela is the Palate. That's how  they chose the name of the restaurant.

In July of 2017, Angela and Jorge opened Cultured Palate- Cuban Food, Cocktails & Wine in Grants Pass, Oregon. They were excited and proud to share Cuban food in a town where the majority had never tried it before. Jorge's family recipes are the foundation of the menu. It was important to them to introduce Grants Pass to authentic Cuban food, not infused or Americanized.

Business just seemed to be picking up a little momentum (even though it was still week to week) when the whole world was put on hold because of the Coronavirus. This has created a lot of stress because $20,000  is still owed for their business loan, as well as monthly rent, bills, labor, etc. Even so, they made it through November, but the last week depleted their funds.

"I haven't given up and plan on moving forward to the best of my ability.", says Angela. "God's the one that opened the door in the beginning and I feel He'll continue providing if He still feels it's a good decision for me and my family. Honestly, I can't imagine NOT having the restaurant."

BOTTOM LINE:   ANY size financial gift would be greatly appreciated, especially when everyone is struggling at this time.
