Keep Cosmo Moving

If you are in the horse community in Hampton Roads and in Central Virginia; or in the equine world of The College of William and Mary; or in the Willow Pond family...well, then you know Cosmo and his wonderful mom, Karen Greenwood. Cosmo is the heart and soul of horse shows near and far, of the Tribe's Equestrian Team and of Willow Pond Farm. We all love his energy, his enthusiasm and his work ethic! He rules that farm, from the horses to the other dogs, and most of the people, too. We all adore him. 

But at the moment, "Mo" has a hitch in his giddyup caused by a 100%  tear in his ACL. He is a constant herder and watchman, and he runs around those fields! Doing his job last week as only Mo can do, he jumped in reaction to some of the horses' horse play, and he seriously injured himself in the process, completely tearing his ACL ligament. He limped around and bunny hopped for days, but it's just too much for him to try to walk and be his normal self. The only option to keep him moving, to keep him active and to keep him happy is a surgical procedure that is not inexpensive. It is highly effective, but it is VERY expensive. 

So, to KEEP COSMO MOVING, and to help our friend and his mom, Karen Greenwood, we who love them both have started this Go Fund Me page.

Cosmo will have the procedure on Monday, September 18th. It will be a long recovery for that sweet puppy, with no movement for a few days, limited movement for several weeks and much restricted movement for sometime after that. In-between, there will be medications, more visits to the vet for check-ups, x-rays, and other follow-ups, etc., so the cost goes far beyond the initial surgery. 

We will need the funds to begin accumulating NOW and to continue for the next 30 days, or perhaps longer.

Wouldn't we all want to do whatever we could for the love of our animals? You cannot put a price tag on that kind of unconditional love. We cannot put a pricetag on the joy that Cosmo brings us, or a pricetag on Karen's frienship and sound horse sense brings that she gives to us all.
