I am the mother of 10 yr old Brian (BJ). Brian was diagnosed with Leukemia 2 weeks before his birthday November 2019. When I was told my son has Cancer my heart just dropped to the floor and my whole world came apart. The tears couldn’t stop flowing my body was not present. I was so devastated to find out my HEART, my ALL, my EVERYTHING, my WORLD has CANCER. Are lives will be forever changed. Brian has been through weekly chemotherapy, lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies the last 7 months.
On June 12, 2020 he relapse with no signs and symptoms of relapsing, a week later we were admitted to undergo intense chemotherapy with weekly lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies for a month. Since he relapse he will need a bone marrow transplant to LIVE he has a 23% chance of finding a match he will also be receiving radiation, lumbar puntures, bone marrow biopsies and more chemotherapy. He will also undergo testicle biopsy to save his sperm to have children later on in life if he chooses to do so. I had to stop working in March due to Covid-19 spreading in the building I was working and because I didn’t want to bring the virus home to my son because he is immunocompromised. My son has been through a lot at the age of 10 and as little as 7months. My baby boy is everything to me.
With your donation I can focus on Brian medical needs and his happiness. We are unsure of what lies ahead and are taking each day one at a time. We do know that this will be a long journey and we currently need assistance with supplementing medical expenses and day to day necessities during Brian’s Road To Recovery. We, also, will love the continuing of prayers for us.
