Keep Area Teens Safe

Keep Area Teens Safe (KATS) shelter serves as a “safe haven” to at-risk youth, ages 12-17, who are experiencing homelessness. Many youth need our services due to family violence, trauma, human trafficking, substance abuse, mental illness, poverty, and more. Our goal at KATS is to provide a safe haven environment that gives youth a platform to empower themselves during their healing journeys by creating treatment plans that focus on their success. Unfortunately, given that we are a recent start-up non-profit and have grant limitations - which only cover staffing, essentials, and daily transportation - many ongoing facility needs are not covered, and we must seek private funds to meet them. For this reason, we are kicking off our second Annual Capital Campaign with a goal to raise $200,000 between October 2022 and December 2022. This campaign will enhance our facility integrity and youth programming capabilities for the vulnerable youth who come through our doors. Donations will have an impact on at-risk youth, their families, and the North Central Wisconsin community. Donors are recognized on our website, social media pages, and our Annual Report.
