Lexi's Legacy Fundraiser- Waypoint, New Hampshire

On May 14th, 2021, we lost a bright light in this world. My daughter, Alexis Hill, 28, residing in Manchester, New Hampshire, took her own life. It was a shock to all of us who loved her. We continue to grieve her loss and wonder how we can keep her legacy alive. It is hard to believe that 16 months have gone by without hearing her voice or seeing her smile.

Alexis touched so many lives in her short time, and her light continues to shine in the hearts and minds of those who loved her.

Alexis was a powerful spirit who touched many lives in her short life. She was passionate about the important things, her friends, family, and the people she touched through her job as Project Manager for the Manchester System of Care at Waypoint, New Hampshire.

The Waypoint NH Wraparound Program is an evidence-informed, caregiver and child-driven planning process that helps high–risk families respond when infants and young children have significant emotional and behavioral experiences. The goals of Wraparound are to help caregivers identify the infant/young child's strengths and underlying needs and develop a family vision and plan that connects them to long-lasting supports and services in their communities.

Alexis worked with high-risk families in the city of New Hampshire. High-risk families have multiple identified risk factors such as substance abuse, economic stressors including homelessness and job loss, domestic violence, and mental illness. These families often involve multiple systems, such as the justice department and the state's child protection agency.

Because of your generous donations, Waypoint was able to help serve twenty high-risk families. Twenty families who, otherwise, may have fallen through the cracks.

Please help me do this again this year. With your help and support, Lexi's Legacy will continue to touch the lives of the people whom she cared so much about.
