Keegan Needs New Hearing Aids!

Keegan was diagnosed with otosclerosis while in pre-school at a routine doctor's appointment. We knew he was asking "What?" a lot but just thought he wasn't listening.  To our dismay he couldn't hear! Being able to hear is essential for learning. Most who have this are middle aged. The doctors we saw were surprised and had to double up their testing because they couldn't believe our wee one had this disorder. Imagine our surprise when we were told that A) hearing aids would cost over $3000 and B) our medical insurance would not cover it. 

He is well over the five year mark to replace his hearing aids and between a dramatic raise in our insurance, having multiple vehicles die and a fire at my husband's shop we have just not been able to get ahead. We have held off long enough. Our boy needs hearing aids that won't act up or hurt his ears (his ear molds are old and cracked).

Receiving these funds will help Keegan get new hearing aids, molds (needed every 1-2 years as he grows at about $60-$80 for each ear) and doctor's appointments. He needs to see a specialist twice a year, and you guessed it, insurance is minimal!
