The city of San Angelo is growing and thriving day by day. As we continue to grow, the potential for "growing pains" also continues to rise. With the amount of people in the city, it is inevitable that we will have a percentage of our population greatly affected by drug addiction, substance abuse, and alcoholism.
Hunter Montgomery, Collin Speciale, and Grant Parker have partnered with ADACCV (Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley) to raise funds to build the immensley needed Detox and Recovery/Treatment Facility.
Currently, San Angelo has bits and pieces of resources and centers for those who want/need to get help and recover from drug addiction. The new facility will allow for a continuum of treatment, allowing patients to go through a detox phase, then directly into the on site recovery program (in-patient), followed by organized aftercare.
ADACCV and its Board of Directors are committed to providing a comprehensive substance abuse treatment program by adding detoxification services for indigent, uninsured and underinsured Concho Valley residents. An expansion plan has been developed that includes a 20,000+ square foot addition to ADACCV’s Cotton Lindsey Center at 3553 Houston Harte Expressway in San Angelo. The expansion will allow ADACCV to consolidate its services to one location and double its residential treatment capacity by providing 30 male treatment beds and 18 female treatment beds. ADACCV will also add residential detoxification services that can accommodate up to 12 clients. The estimated cost of this project is approximately $5,000,000.
