Donation protected
The funds raised from this GOFUNDME campaign are ONLY for Fr. Rommel's medical costs. Donations will be transferred from GOFUNDME to an account I have opened with the ANZ bank for the purpose of receiving and transferring GOFUNDME funds. I will transfer the donations from SURGERY 4 ROMMEL to Fr Rommel Padila's bank account by electronic transfer. The money from all donations will be used for MEDICAL costs ONLY, associated with Fr Rommel's brain surgery, investigative tests, hospital costs, and rehabilitation. I will transfer the funds to his account and he will pay the medical costs himself with the donation money he receives into his account. He has agreed to send me an email acknowledging receipt of said funds that I will send him. I will then forward that receipt information to donors. After the donations have been transferred to him, any donor may request from me information in my bank account showing such transfers. Thank you.

Fr. Rommel Padillahas been my friend since we attended a retreat in Corato Italy in 2010. (See photo below). A donor paid for his trip. Last week he told me he needs brain surgery. A growing benign tumour is pressing on his optic nerve. Already his vision is blurred and cloudy. He needs to wear dark glasses at all times, even while saying Mass. Poverty is rife in 3rd World Countries.
Fr. Rommel was ordained 12 years ago. He lives in Nicaragua, a poor country in Central America. From his parish in Leon, he earns about $70 per week plus about $20 on average from the Marriage Tribunal as the judge, where with about 15 cases per year, most people cannot afford to pay. He lives on $90 per week. Therefore Fr. Rommel has no health insurance. His diocese and family cannot afford to help him. He has no car or bike. He walks or catches public transport.
Fr. Rommel will have surgery as soon as the cost is raised and he can secure an appointment and theatre with his surgeon. The cost will include hospital and rehabilitation after surgery. I will send the money to Fr. Rommel directly.
GOFUNDME has secure rules in law and tracking that the right person gets the donations. Rommel is a very nice person. Please help me to help him to get his surgery. He has turned to me 'coz he has no way of getting an operation otherwise. He is a humble man and genuine.
