Kay’s Cancer Funding
Donation protected
Five years ago, Kay was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a year of treatment, she was declared cancer-free and was looking forward to spending retirement with her husband (David) visiting her 7 children and 25 grandchildren across the US.
Just before Thanksgiving 2017, the cancer returned to Kay's spine and arm, categorized as stage 4.
December 20, after dealing with a acute pain in her side for a few days, a CAT scan indicated the cancer had spread to Kay's liver. From that time, the cancer has aggressively attacked the liver. Medications to address the pain cause severe nausea leading to dehydration and more pain. Kay is now unable to function at any level of normalcy primarily due to the current medications.
So, to quote Sir Roger Daggenhurst in The Man Who Knew Too Little: "Doesn't that just bite it?"
While there is no cure for this devastating illness, Kay's recommended treatment is a drug called Ibrance which is combined with all the other scans, tests, procedures, and medications at a very high cost but with potentially good results. We are hoping this treatment will allow Kay a bit of peace and to bring her back to David for a little while.

100% of funds not needed will be donated directly toward pediatric cancer research.
