Kaylin's Trip to NYC

Hello.

This is Kaylin Gauble writing from Port Angeles Washington. I am Kathy Krukewitt Bown’s granddaughter and Emily Bown’s daughter. I hope you are having a good new year so far!

I am here to tell you about a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity I have—

I am currently a Junior at Port Angeles High School (PAHS) and this is my fifth year in choir. I love singing and think that the best part of my school day is when I sing in choir. On March 23, 2023, our PAHS choir, band, and orchestra will travel to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall! My mother and grandmother will be chaperones.

The itinerary for the trip includes several rehearsals, a trip to the Top of the Rock (the Observation Deck of Rockefeller Center, sightseeing at Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, and a Broadway show. (I don’t know what the show will be—I am hoping for Hamilton!) Our performance will be on Sunday evening, March 26th.

The cost of this trip is estimated at $2,400. Any donation amount to support the performing arts would be appreciated. I set up this Gofundme account with my grandma’s email and bank account. We keep track of all donations and will refund all money in the case of cancellation. (The last trip PAHS planned was Spring of 2020).
