Kaylea's Kick Cancers Arse Fund!

On Monday 29th January 2018 at just 31 years young, my beautiful older sister Kaylea was diagnosed with cancer.
She had visited the GP frequently with pains in her stomach but it wasn’t until she visited the GP weeks later with more pain in her mid-torso, they suspected it could be something more serious. After numerous scans and tests, they found it was bowel cancer. After further scans and test, they had found it had spread to her Liver & other areas. Doctors believe she could have had it for some time, with bowel cancer often having similar symptoms to other illnesses, and with her being young, the previous doctors didn’t even consider it. It makes the battle ahead for her a little harder than if she detected it sooner BUT bowel cancer is one of the most treatable cancers. We believe she can fight it & have faith she will kick cancer so far out of her it will be terrified to show again.

Kaylea and her fiancé Mark have two beautiful children, Aoife (9 months) & Kian (3 years). Kaylea will do anything for her little family.

The reason I (her brother!) have set up this page is to help them out in this tough time. Soon she will be going through treatment (chemo and surgery) and it will be a juggling act for her fiancé Mark to look after the children, pay the rent, put food on the table & care for Kaylea. I don't want the lack of money to cause more stress than they already have! Kaylea will also be losing her hair from the chemotherapy and the money we raise will help her buy a new wig.
Both Kaylea & Mark are honest hard working people who wouldn’t ask anything of anyone, so I am doing this without their permission (sorry Kaylea & Mark you are getting are help whether you like it or not!).

50% of the money we raise together will help Kaylea buy a wig after the chemotherapy and it will also ease the stress of covering bills for Kaylea and her family & give her the positivity she needs to kick cancers arse!
The other 50% will go to Clatterbridge Cancer Centre where Kaylea will undergo a lot of her treatment. Please support us in our fight to kick cancer out of Kaylea.
To help raise the money I will be doing the Liverpool 1/2 Marathon on 25th March alongside a few of my friends who have also joined the cause: Nik Templeton, Aaron Beck, Callum Healey, Lizzie O'Mahony & Wayne Lacy, all of your support will be appreciated by each and every one of us!
