Kayden's Diabetic Alert Dog

I've had diabetes since I was 18 months old. I am now 18 and a senior in high school. Diabetes has always been apart of my life; it is apart of who I am. A diabetic alert dog is something that could maybe one day save my life. It will know when I'm high or low and will alert me, and if it gets too bad it will alert someone else. After this year, I plan to go to college, and this dog could be a saving grace. It will definitely make my family and I much more comfortable and at ease with the changes. Diabetes has presented so many challenges that normal teens don't have to face! I just want to live life the way everyone else does without having to worry about the highs or lows.
