My name is Kay and I'm a 20 year-old Black trans woman, college student, academic baddie, hip-hop feminist, and fashion enthusiast. As many people who follow me on social media have witnessed, I have been on a journey of allowing myself to be who I am and have always known myself to be.
I've been paying for the costs of my transition such as HRT and laser hair removal sessions out of pocket and unemployed, while managing university classes, my academic work, and other chronic health issues. This fund was originally a campaign that was created for a gender affirming surgery that mutual aid and donations fully supported.
I'm super thankful for everyone including friends, my siblings, and so many mutuals online that have and continue to support me and love me through this metamorphosis of mine. I would not be able to have gotten this far with living authentically without you all.
