Katko Heart Surgery Support Fund
Donation protected
Sir Knight Ron Katko, a 54-year member of the Knights of Columbus and resident of Meridian, Idaho, has had multiple heart surgeries over the past three years. On February 26, Ron underwent a very complicated open-heart procedure at the University of Utah Health Center. Due to post-operative complications, he has returned to the operating room for multiple surgeries since, and he remains in critical condition.
Ron's wife, Elaine, is staying in a motel near the hospital at a cost of over $100 a day. Doctors are telling her that he will need to be hospitalized there at the university for at least a month. With the hospital and drug costs they have incurred over the past few years, including mounting bills for this surgery, their finances are very strained.
Although Elaine and Ron would not ask, the need is great. So we of Ron's Knights of Columbus Assembly are asking on their behalf for your help to support this wonderful couple not only in prayer, but also financially.
