Our Angel Gained Her Wings

Kaitlyn Michelle O'Brien was born October 26th 1998 and to the loving arms of Micheal and Lydia O'Brien. The family knew right away that Kaitlyn wasn't like most children. To put it best she was remarkably special. The doctor's told her parents it was a severe case of epilepsy and cerebal palsy. They then told her parents not to plan her first birthday. What the doctors didn't know, was that Katie was a fighter and she had two amazing parents and and whole big incredible family fighting beside her the whole way. Katie's life was never easy but her parents and the rest of her family and made everyday the best they  possibly could for her. On October 26th of 2016 Katie celebrated her 18th birthday. For almost 19 incredible years we truly had an angel on Earth . On August 26th of 2017, just two months shy of her 19th birthday, our beautiful angel gained her wings to heaven. It's every parent's worst nightmare to have to bury their child, and it was something my aunt and uncle just had not planned for. For those of you who don't know Mike and Lydia are two of the best people you could truly ever meet. They go above and beyond for all their family and friends. Whether it's a couch to crash on, a shoulder to cry on, or just a porch to chill on Mike and Lydia have always been there. Not only for myself but for countless others. Now it's our turn as a family and a community to be there for them as they face something no parent should ever face. All money raised through this account you will be directly deposited into the Kaitlyn O'Brien Memorial fund and will be used to pay her final expenses as well as any expenses Mike and Lydia may have, as they have two other children. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated by the family, although they do understand not everyone is able to donate please do share this post.
