Hi friends and family~
As many of you know I have had a tough year with many health issues.
Starting in Dec. 2013 I went in for a minor outpatient procedure and ended up with a pseudo aneurysm which led to severe internal bleeding, an extended hospital stay, and 6 week recovery. Since then I have had complications, numerous procedures, and ongoing infections. As of today I am recovering from my 3rd surgery which was a partial hysterectomy which took place on Sept 11, 2014. I had complications after this last surgery as well with an additional hospital stay.
As of this week my employer, who currently carries my insurance policy, has told me I owe $3000 for the last 3 months of health insurance, due immediately, or they will cancel my insurance and retroactively charge me for the last 3 month's worth of medical care which would include my last surgery (estimated at $100,000). My employer just informed me that they do not contribute their portion to my health insurance while I am on disability and unable to work. That's why the amount is so high for just 3 months. At one point they did cover this but apparently that has changed without my knowing and now I am responsible for coming up with the $3000 ASAP.
I am incredibly grateful that I have been covered thus far and I know $3000 in the grand scheme of things is not that much... BUT! I don't have it right now. I am unable to work and I have over $7000 in medical bills still outstanding and I could use some help.
Of course this kicks up all my deserve-ability stuff to even be asking my community for this kind of support, but many of you have encouraged me to do this and so I am open and willing and honestly don't know where else to turn. I'm trying to recover and get back to work and anything you could do to help would be greatly appreciated. If you can donate, awesome! If you can't please just say a prayer or keep a good intention for the easy and best resolution of this matter. It's been an incredibly long journey and I feel confident that I am finally on the physical upswing and ready to rock some human interest/ changing the world projects when I regain my energies!
