Help Katie Ross - Thistlethistle Fight Cancer

Hi everyone, this is Spain, Katie Greenwood Ross’ fiancé and partner of 9 years.

Katie is a self-employed Providence-based artist whose creativity, generosity, and kindness has touched and inspired not just those closest to her, but the thousands who know her through her work.

Katie was recently diagnosed with stage-3 breast cancer, and the required treatment schedule has led to a needed pause of her business, Thistle Thistle. Last month, I closed my own business to work with Katie at Thistle Thistle full time. With that combination, this means a total loss of our household income at an incredibly critical and taxing time.

While Katie is receiving treatment, I will be caring for her and trying to run her business, as well as driving her to and from appointments, and advocating for her with doctors.

The primary costs of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation should be covered by health insurance, though Katie’s deductible is rather high and additional services (e.g., egg freezing and cold capping) are not covered by insurance. Katie, Myself, and everyone who loves her would be so grateful for any funds you might be able to contribute to help cover her medical and life expenses.
