Help out the I-74 pup

On March 31st, my husband and I were returning home from the North side. As we exited the I-74 ramp right at the Fisher Rd over pass, a red Mini-Cooper with some orange stripes pulled over on the West side of 74 and threw a small black ball out the window. We were East bound, so we couldn’t get the license plates number. This tiny little dog popped up shaking and started eating the garage in the median. We pulled over, as did another lady and tried to catch her. She was running for her life. The other lady had to go back to her car, she was a lone and pretty far from her car. We kept following the dog, Brian was driving and I was running the median. Half a mile later, we called 911 to get police help. Meanwhile, a man pulled over ahead of us to try and box her in, but she ran straight into the west bound lane. I thought she was done. But she zipped right by the man and down the median. He continued to try and help Brian and I. Then another lady and her daughter pulled over their horse trailer and jumped into help. Right before the exit of Wanamaker, all 4 lanes came to a stop and everyone was helping. Some how Brian and 3 other men on foot, had her trapped under a small SUV. I crawled under and grabbed 2 legs per hand and passed her to Brian. WE HAD HER, FINALLY!!! She was so scared she was having diarrhea under the car and all over me. We took her straight home and bathed her and clipped her horribly long nails. Our good friends brought down some small kibble and wet food for dogs and she loved it.
We haven’t named her. But she’s a love bug for sure. She’s been starved, miss treated and neglected abundantly. She has swollen pads on her feet that bleed. Her feet are all white and balding. She had horrible dander from her poor diet.
She needs to be spayed, have her shots, heart worm tested and wormed. This is why we are starting this page. Anything OVER her cost will be given to FACE Animal clinic. This is where we take our animals and will take her. We support FACE as much as we can.
