Kathryn's insurance fund

Kathryn urgently needs help paying for insurance and her deductable.

Last year around this time Kathryn was approved for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI).

When we reported this new income today she was kicked off of Medicaid, so as of January 1st we have to pay for insurance for her until Medicare kicks in for her next year. (They have a 2 year waiting period after getting disability for Medicare to take effect. It's just crazy!)

Long story short her insurance is $255 a month with a $1000 deductable. We can't afford this. It will eat every dollar of ours leaving nothing for emergencies.

We are asking for money to pay for that 1st $1000 deductable so her insurance will start paying for her doctors appointments. Any extra will go to paying off the insurance premium.

Here's what's going on with her that necessitates her going to the doctor:

-She has Lewy Body Dementia.
-Her hip that she got replaced a few years ago is hurting again (a lot) and it needs a specialist who will do tests.
-Kathryn also needs her bi-weekly visits with her counselor.

The funding we are requesting will all go to Kathryn's medical care and insurance.

This is urgent. Kathryn is in considerable pain and needs to see someone soon.
