“My Mother taught me to be honest, to be selfless, and to touch people in a positive way.” -Scott Eastwood

Kathi Michelle McGuire-Waymire; our mother has by far had no easy life; losing her first husband(our dad) to a brain aneurysm and being left to raise 2 kids on her own she accepted the cards dealt to her and has spent the later years in her life working hard labor jobs to provide ends meet. She has always stressed enjoying the simpler things in life. With her, it has never been about having a lot, but appreciating enough. Mom has always been an outspoken woman who would stand by what and who she believes no matter the result. She’s been a constant inspiration to us since our childhood instilling work ethic, respect, and compassion into our values.

On September 26th, 2018 at around 7:30pm our mother suffered a massive stroke which resulted in a large bleed on the right side of her brain. She was careflighted from Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN to Miami Valley in Dayton, OH where they performed cranial decompression surgery on her right flap to make room for the swelling of her brain. As of right now she is in intensive care on life support. She has suffered damage on the right side of her brain, which affects the left movement on her body. Currently the extent of paralysis is unknown. With that being said after speaking with her care providers at the hospital we believe through extensive therapy and rehabilitation she can eventually make a good recovery.

We are starting a Recovery fund Campaign for mom, this will be used to help cover cost for medical expenses, bills, and therapy while she makes her road to recovery. Our reasoning behind this is our mother is the provider in the family. She will be out of work permanently. During this time her income will be at a stand still until we can figure out other arrangements. While we are putting all we have towards this, our family’s income isn’t enough to cover her living expenses and medical bills. If you could find it in your heart to make a small donation in her greatest time of need, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions, or would like to reach out please email Tony at [email redacted] or Angie at [email redacted] We want to thank each and every last person for the amount support, love, and prayers our family has received it has meant a great deal to us. I know mom appreciates it.
