Katherine's and Austin’s Christmas Eve

My name is Sandi, while most of us were cooking, or wrapping gifts, or last-minute shopping - my great niece Katherine drove home to discover that the home she left yesterday morning, was no more. A faulty wall-mount heater caught fire and destroyed the home she was sharing with a roommate.

At just 21, this was a new beginning for our Kat and her roommate Austin. Her own place with her beautiful dog Nala. A haven against the world. Now, on Christmas Day she is basically homeless (temp staying with his mom but really crowded and they have nothing clothes wise) with little more than Nala and the clothes on her .

Homeowners will replace the dwelling and hopefully some furniture but it won't help Kat or Austin now. 

Wrong time of year to ask for help, but pennies lead to dollars. If you can help in any possible way; donate, share, spread the word. Red Cross stepped in to help some but that is quite limited.
