Hello, my name is Katherine Michelle Vargas, I am a 17-year-old Venezuelan girl diagnosed with high-risk, treatment-resistant Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which has progressed. In order to achieve remission, I need to receive immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies (Brentuximab + Nivolumab). These are very costly and priced in US dollars; my family cannot afford them, and they are not available in the Venezuelan public health system.
In May 2019, at 15 years of age, I was diagnosed with stage IIIB high-risk Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, with lymphatic tumors affecting my neck, mediastinum, abdomen, axillae and pelvic region; as well as fever, night sweats and chills every day.
I received treatment with 3 cycles of chemotherapy, 6 sessions each. Unfortunately, my disease was not cured; on the contrary, several nodes continue to grow rapidly in my body, producing a lot of pain and discomfort.
This is why I need to migrate to Europe, to receive this treatment and then my BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT, so I can win my battle against cancer and continue fighting for my dreams, and holding on to life as I have so far.

Hola, me llamo Katherine Michelle Vargas, soy una joven Venezolana de 17 años con un Linfoma de Hodgkin de alto riesgo, refractario al tratamiento y con progresion de enfermedad. Para poder encontrar la remisión de mi enfermedad, necesito recibir un tratamiento a base de anticuerpos monoclonales llamado inmunoterapia (Brentuximab + Nivolumab) valorado en una suma muy alta en dólares y que mi familia no puede costear, aparte que no existen en el sistema de salud publico de Venezuela.
En Mayo del 2019, a mis 15 años, fui diagnosticada con un Linfoma de Hodgkin estadio IIIB de alto riesgo, con tumores linfáticos que me afectaban el cuello, mediastino, abdomen, axilas y región pélvica, así como fiebres, sudores nocturnos y escalofríos diarios.
Recibí tratamiento con 3 ciclos de quimioterapia, de 6 sesiones cada uno, pero desafortunadamente no logré curarme de la enfermedad, por el contrario, tengo ganglios que siguen creciendo rápidamente en mi cuerpo produciendome mucho dolor y molestia.
Por eso necesito emigrar a Europa para recibir este tratamiento y posteriormente mi TRASPLANTE DE MEDULA OSEA, para ganarle la batalla al cáncer y seguir luchando por mis sueños, aferrada a la vida como hasta ahora lo he hecho.
