Kate's Computer is Dead :(

My beloved 2012 MacBook Pro died this morning, after failing to start up despite all attempts from the pros to fix it. I need to have a computer for work and school and can't rely on computer labs on weekends or late at night. This couldn't happen at a worse time - I'm moving (a huge expense), am in the hole paying back a loan to cover the rest of my tuition, and it's quarterly tax month. I want to keep using Macs because of proprietary software and software licenses. I'm trying to get the new equivalent of the computer I'm using now - a 13" MacBook pro with a 250GB drive - nothing too fancy!
