Ywam Backpackers Mission Trip

Hi lovely friends and family! I am so thankful you are visiting this page, here's what's happening:
At the end of this September I will be leaving on a Mission trip with Ywam (Youth with a Mission). To do a DTS (decipleship training school) in Oxford New Zealand for a total of five months.
The first three months are the classroom phase where we are equipped in knowing God and furthering our relationship with Him. We will also be preparing for longer term mission work with the guidance of staff, teachers, and leaders.
The following two months are called the outreach phase. This is the part where we take what we’ve learned and turn our faith into action. This particular outreach is backpacking focused, that means our primary focus is backpackers. The nomadic generation ranges from all ages, cultures, and people from around the world. They are usually searching for some sort of experience that is deeper and greater, sometimes a purpose for being alive. Many seek to find this far away from home, in the grandure of nature, or in a people. Some are just looking for a place they belong. Our intention is to meet them where they’re at and share the love of Jesus. Whether it be feeding them dinner, or just listening to them share their life. We intend to bring hope to those lost places, and share the raw gospel that is Jesus. It is often many have heard about him, but many have not experienced his love.

Why New Zealand??
Firstly, people need God everywhere. And secondly, New Zealand is the number one backpacking destination in the world. Thousands come from all over to a little country on the end of the earth, to soak in the country’s beauty. Jesus’s beauty has changed my life and I have watched it radically change the life of others. I know the hope and fufillment he brings to all who ask, which is why I am so passionate about him, and mission work remains a deeper passion in my heart.
To make this trip happen, I am asking for help in this partnership. Firstly I am asking for prayer throughout this journey. I believe prayer to be the most important aspect of missions because I cannot do this without your help.
