Kricket is a wonderful, caring, genuine and beautiful person inside and out. She is always, always thinking of others before herself. She holds a special place in all our hearts for one reason or another.
Kricket is a single mother with three children and on a single income. As you all know (or may not depending who sees this) she works as a full time bartender at The Pic A Lilli Inn on Rt 206 in Shamong, NJ.
On Thursday night, July 19th at 10:00pm on Oak Shade Rd in Shamong, NJ she was on her motorcycle with two friends when two small deer walked into the road. Kricket’s natural reaction was to attempt to stop. In doing so, her motorcycle began to lose control, throwing her into the road and then she slid approximately 100 feet. 9-1-1 was called immediately. She was transported by ambulance to Cooper Trauma in Camden, NJ. Trauma team assessed her and determining her injuries were non-life threatening, she was admitted to the emergency room at Cooper. Thankfully after a total body scan, her injuries are all external. She did not brake any bones or injure anything internal. However, her injuries are extensive enough to cause her constant, daily pain and she required stitches above right eye.
Each day she recovers and is unable to work, her normal living expenses accrue. She is not eligible for sick leave from work nor is she eligible to receive disability assistance from the state. We are asking for any help you can afford for our “bug” aka Kricket.
