Karri McKim's Cancer Fight

We are reaching out to the rodeo, barrel racing community and compassionate friends and family to help one of our own during her greatest time of need.

Karri McKim is fighting the greatest battle of her life. Many of you may not know her battle. Typical Karrie, she has been fighting silently, keeping the details away from those around her.

It is time that her story be told in hopes that those who know and love her and those that are drawn by compassion and caring will lend a hand during this difficult time.

In 2013 Karri was just beginning the start of the rodeo season. Her plans were abruptly sidelined when she was injured at work.  A shipping box fell from a tall shelf, hitting her in the chest. She recovered from these injuries, but as strange and often unexplainable things happen, her accident lead to the discovery of a large lump above her breast.

The diagnosis none of us ever want to hear was given to Karri.   Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.  Breast Cancer.  Karri met this challenge head on. Perhaps from her years of rodeo, relying on the inner makings of a champion, knowing that hard work and not letting anything sway her from the ultimate goal of winning was the key to success. 
Karri is now facing medical costs that simply are out of her reach. There are additional tests that need to be completed.  These tests are critical to determine the appropriate treatment to bring her back to being cancer free.   The future impending surgery is at a cost that is fearfully not obtainable at this time.
Karri’s entire life has been spent helping others. Helping horse owners in her training abilities, helping others obtain optimum health and helping all animals with her many adopted rescues.
We are asking everyone reading this to please help Karri. Those that know her know she would never ask for help. We have taken it upon ourselves to request help for her. We are asking to please give what you can and help us reach our goal to give Karri the chance she deserves to beat this monster.
