Karla's College Fund

Hi! My name is Karla Cardoza, and I'm raising money to go to college at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. 

I moved to the United States when I was 15 to live with my family. In the last two years, I have learned to speak English, made new friends, become a National Merit Scholar, graduated with Honors from Somerville High School, and been accepted to Lesley University. At college, my goal is to study social work and psychology so that I can become a psychologist and help other immigrant student like me integrate into the U.S. and follow their own dreams.

Please help me reach my dream of becoming the first person in my family to attend college. Lesley University has awarded me a Presidential Scholarship (the highest level of aid the University provides), but I still need help covering the remaining tuition costs this year. The $11,200 I am looking to raise will allow me to finish this year debt free and purchase supplies for school. I will be living at home with my family while I attend university, so none of this money is going towards housing fees. My parents have always worked very hard to give me everything I need, but they cannot afford my college tuition as I also have two younger siblings.
