Semester/Fashion Collection

I'm Karina Garcia. I’m currently completing my final year at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where I have spent the last 4 years pursuing my dream of becoming a fashion designer.  But I'm passionate about the work I do, and I have a clear artistic vision of what I want to create. I draw inspiration from my childhood in Mexico, as well as the international cultures I’ve encountered in my travels since then. My jewelry, textile, and fashion design reflects these dynamic life experiences. I have been very fortunate to be selected to participate in the Academy of Art’s graduation fashion show. Only a few students are invited to design a runway collection for their final project every year, and I feel very honored to be included with the other talented students in this group. This project will be an amazing opportunity for me to advance my career, but it means a lot of extra time and effort on my part. I'm throwing myself 100% into designing/making my collection. I'm a month away from the show and I still need to raise $3,000 to buy materials for collection and portfolio. With your help, I will be able to complete a dream I’ve had since I was young.
