In recent weeks Facebook has been flooded with messages about Kari-Lee and requests for prayer. The Venning and Birrell families really appreciate the many people who have joined together to pray and believe for the miracle that this precious young girl desperately needs. Having suffered with Cystic Fibrosis all her life, Kari-Lee recently underwent a double lung transplant. Whilst initially the operation was successful, right now Kari is facing the fight of her life as a drug resistant, bacterial infection has invaded her new lungs. Having undergone further surgery to remove a significant part of her new lungs Doctors are now desperately trying to find a way to eradicate this bacteria. True to form, Kari is facing this challenge with the same courage and tenacity that she has demonstrated throughout her whole life but, this is definitely the scariest battle ever. The amount of stress that this family are under is immeasurable. As well as the health battle that they face, Kari's husband Tom is struggling between needing to work to ensure that the bills are paid whist needing to be with his wife in Brisbane as she struggles for her life. This is an unthinkable scenario!!! Kari needs Tom by her side and neither of them needs to be burdened with any form of financial pressure. Please keep praying and believing for the miracle that Kari- Lee desperately needs, but can I request that you also consider showing your love and support in a practical way by donating to this precious couple.
