Karen Savadge Memorial Fund

Karen has traveled one last time on Sept. 1st, 2018. She was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in June 2018 after they found numerous tumors in May 2018. She started the radiation treatments right away but after 3 Chemo treatment shots in July 2018, her small intestine started deteriorating. August was 3 weeks in the hospital with 10 surgeries to finally tell us there was nothing they could do on  August 28th. She was discharged August 30th with Hospice Care so that she could be home and passed away that Saturday.
It is one of the hardest things to sit there by her bedside and watch her pass away while holding her hand. Karen went peacefully and painlessly within her home filled with family and friends like she had wanted.
She had a son and daughter from a previous marriage, Jason (Retired Military), & Danni-Marie (Nurse), along with 2 grandkids Kay-lee and Jonathan, while I had 2 daughters from a previous marriage Aurora (College) & Aylora (Autistic).
We were together for 7 years & then married for 10 years. Karen took on my daughters as if they were her own despite Aylora being Autistic and we were a loving family. Family time with both our sides was important, especially during the holidays. Christmas we hosted and the rest were hosted by other family members.

Life has a way of catching you by surprise and you're standing there dumbfounded and saying "What Happened?" Karen was such a special person with a loving caring heart, that lent an ear to people that needed one and helpful to others in need. She was so full of life, liked to laugh, being sarcastic, spend time with others, play games and loved to be challenged with things in life.
Karen and I shared all expenses and though the expenses are getting covered for the funeral services, it's the long-term afterward that will take its toll on trying to stay caught up. This is something I never have done before and not what I like to do asking others for help, but Karen had asked others to make sure that Aylora and I would be okay and this would be a good way of doing that.
The goal amount set would help to cover Karen's accumulated expenses, unexpected expenses, and especially medical expenses waiting to receive very soon.
To everyone who has been there for us, helped us in some way or going to help in some way, know that even the littlest help, no matter the form, helps and I love everyone for doing what they can to help.

Thank you,
