The Cheney's Condo Crisis

As you may or may not know, Karen and I suffered a great loss on October 13, 2017. We watched in horror as our condo (and 4 other units in our building) burned. While the fire is under investigation, preliminary reports state it started as a chimney fire and quickly spread to our roof and others completely engulfing the 2nd floor. Our unit and 4 others are a total loss.

The rebuilding process will take to at least the spring of 2018. We are currently displaced and living in an area pet friendly  extended stay suite with our buddy Acorn.

We have had a tremendous outpouring of support from family and friends. Everyone has been asking what can they do for us. While insurance will cover the majority of the physical re build, there is, we are noticing,  a huge cost of being displaced.

We are asking for help with the financial part of our journey through this difficult time in our lives.
This will be an on going campaign and once we are back in to our home in the spring of 2018 we will donate leftover funds to the Red Cross, so they may help in the next disaster.

We are so thankful for the kind words and prayers on our behalf. Please continue with that and help us get through this new painful adventure in our lives.
