WashU Kappa Sigma House Fundraiser
Beschermde donatie
Dear Parents of Kappa Sigma Brothers,
Hello! I hope all is well. I’m Daniel Sacks, and I am the Fundraising chair for Kappa Sigma at Washington University in St. Louis. You might also recognize my name from my role as Parents Weekend chair last April – all of the brothers absolutely loved seeing many of you here at WashU, and we look forward to similar celebrations in the near future!
As of this semester, our brotherhood is back at full strength – we have full-capacity housing, are coming off of a successful recruitment with eight phenomenal new members of our organization, and our social events have returned to pre-COVID levels. In the past few weeks, we’ve had on-campus social events every weekend (including our school-themed “Back to Kappa Sigma” party. and our fantastic Halloween “Spooky Sigma” party!) We are so happy to be back and better than ever in our full-strength fraternity.
I am reaching out to ask for your support to help us purchase items that will enhance the quality of life for all of the brothers of our chapter. Particularly, as a result of the dormant three-year period for our social events in our basement, our speaker system has reduced in sound quality and volume, and no longer accommodates our social events in our basement. Our events are some of the highlights of our college experience and allow us to bond with each other and meet more people from around campus in a safe and fun manner.
Our fundraising target is $2,877. Speakers are expensive, especially when they are meant to handle hundreds of guests at a social event. The specific model we are looking to purchase can be found below:
Three ($959 x 3 = $2,877.00) JBL PRX425 15" 2-Way System: Click here for more details. This speaker has a wattage of 600W compared to our current speaker which handles 250W, meaning it is 240% more powerful. We are looking to purchase 3 to replace our current 3 speakers. These speakers also come equipped with a free two-year warranty.
These new speakers are both of higher quality and durability than that of our current dilapidated sound system, an intentional investment in the longevity of our equipment to save costs in the long-run. In joining our fundraising effort to purchase these speakers, our current brotherhood, and of course, you, will be able to make an impact on the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at WashU for years to come!
If you would like to donate, please click the "Donate Now" button above. Feel free to donate ANY amount. If you would like to donate an entire speaker, please attach that to the message and we would be happy to make an engraving/dedication of your choice on our new equipment or any other idea you have! Lastly, we will make sure to send out a follow-up email for you to see the fruit of your contribution!
Thank you all for your support, and we all look forward to seeing you again for Thanksgiving break!
Best,
Daniel Sacks
