Kammerer Family Disaster Relief

Hello everyone, I’m the daughter of Marie and Brian Kammerer and sister of Hallie Kammerer.
Hurricane Florence battered down on the Carolinas for days and while our house survived the wind, it did not withstand the rain. Record levels of the Cape Fear River caused catastrophic flooding in the Cross Creek subdivision and my parents home was soon enveloped by the waters.
While fundraising has been continuous for over 250 members of the community, many have reached out asking how they can personally help my family as my parents would never come out and ask for help themselves. These funds will be used to cover the expense of their insurance deductible and I will be sending the money straight to my parents account.
My Mom, Marie, has been going through the community to grocery stores and businesses to get donations for the clean up and food for families.
My Dad, has been assisting our neighbors and keeping watch as the community was a target for looters.
My parents are safe, but devastated.
They are currently searching for temporary housing and looking to rent in the Hampstead area. This process of rebuilding will be long, tumultuous and exhausting.
