Mission: Kami's Van

I have had the fortune to meet the wonderful Grimes family during my position with the March of Dimes.  They are what we call a "Mission Family" because they are a family that has had to deal with premature birth and birth defects in their sweet angel, Kami.  If you have ever met people that emit such sweet generosity - that you can feel positive energy from - this is them.  If you are blessed enough to know them, you know what I'm talking about.

That being said, in getting to know Shauna and Mike and little Kami, I see a spirit that only gives back to the community -- through collecting coats for the needy or volunteering at soup kitchens and Ronald McDonald House.  In getting to know them personally, I know what they really need -- a handicap van for their sweet Kami.  You see, Kami was born with cerebal palsy, in addition to many other health complications.  She is soon to be 3 and she is getting heavy and must sit at an angle, which her wheelchair accomodates.  And although the Grimes family has tried through other means to obtain this dream, nothing has come through -- getting a "you don't really NEED it" or others that will pay for a wheelchair lift to an existing van.  Unfortunately, none of these scenarios really work out -- so we must turn to you -- our family, friends and society to help. 

I have seen these kinds of accounts go viral and I know the power of social media.  When I know a family does all that they can, and instead of asking for help and donations, they help others less fortunate... it is time to step in... Please help me to raise money to get Kami a van!
