Kamara Talk

Http://Instagram.com/p/4Gf4aKiSW4/  it was a really difficult decision for me to come on here and share my story but sometimes parents have to do what they need to do for their children. My darling daughter Kamara was born after many challenges that I had gone through and at the beginning we thought everything was ok even after all we had been through , she was a beautiful baby at birth and was very peaceful the first few days. We then started experiencing issues first with  jaundice and then colic and then she suffered from oral thrush, it was one thing after another. We then got through those first weeks and then we started noticing that she wasn't hitting her milestones like her older brother, she couldn't hold her head up or turn on her own , she was slow to crawl, she didn't crawl till she was almost 1! She took her first steps at age 2 and now she's almost 5 and she's yet to make a complete sentence. We have been to Drs in America and the UK and they are still trying to figure out what's wrong. We have decided to go back to the UK as the Drs there have said she needs speech, occupational and cognitive therapy. It's hard as a mum not been able to understand your child, not been able to talk to her and it's a hard decision to pack up and move three children, to leave family and friends and start all over again but for my darling I will do it. We have some of the money for our move but it's really the hospital visits, extra theraphy and the extra help and upkeep that we will need that is the challenge. So I'm taking a risk and going out on a limb and hoping that someone will read this story and connect. I'm a chef just out of culinary school and a happy mummy. Lol I love my kids and would do anything for them.  My husband thinks I'm mad doing this but you know what nothing is impossible and the worst I will get is No but we are still moving and it may mean we just have to slug it out for a while but I know she will get better one day and will one day be able to say thanks mum for not giving up ! ❤️❤️
