Kalley Ann Rittman Scholarship Fund
When we think of Kalley, we think of passion. Whatever it was, running, yoga, rock climbing, or ice climbing, she was all in. Our Kalley died on March 17, 2020, in a rappelling accident after finishing the first ascent of Diamond in the Sky outside of Valdez, Alaska. Kalley was an amazing person. Her love, her passion, her friendship, her strength, her beautiful mountain soul, her silliness, all of these qualities were there for us when we looked into her lovely blue eyes. Even though she is gone from this world, we know, she is alive within each of us.
The three of us, Kit, Hannah, and Greg would like to raise money through this fundraiser to establish a scholarship in Kalley's name at Alaska Pacific University. Kalley graduated from APU with a degree in Outdoor Studies. The money raised will be used for a student to pursue their passions and aid in earning a degree in Outdoor Studies at APU. Hopefully, this scholarship will be available for many years to come. We have also established a scholarship at Madison East High School in Kalley's name. This fundraiser will help make that an ongoing effort. Please let us know if you prefer for your donation to be applied to the scholarship at APU or East High School. If you have no preference, the donations will be split between the two scholarships.
