Kaiser - the Recovery Assistance Dog

Donation protected
This gorgeous little chap is called Kaiser and as he grows up, he will become a very important dog and a real life saver! Kaiser is Aimee's new German Shepherd puppy who will be arriving in just over two weeks time. Aimee will be training him to be a Recovery Assistance Therapy Dog and he will be by her side for the rest of his life!

As some of our close family and friends are aware, the last two years have been extremely difficult for Aimee and the family. Eating Disorders, Anxiety and Depression are amongst so many people right now, and especially prevalent at the moment with the pandemic. Aimee also suffers with PTSD and EUPD which the Recovery Dogs can be trained to detect.

These illnesses are extremely serious and dangerous as they can be life threatening. It is very difficult to see them sometimes and a majority of us do not understand them. They are very complex illnesses but with the right help, they can be overcome!

Over the last two years, we have had to deal with all  of these illnesses and thankfully, we are now starting to see light at the end of the tunnel and with Aimee's strength and the support of the family, we are hoping that hospitals will be a thing of the past!

Kaiser will start his little life being loved and creating a bond with Aimee, then in a few weeks will begin his journey to train as a Recovery Assistance dog for her.

Recovery Assistance Dogs UK is a charity set up by people who have been through Mental Health themselves and now train dogs to help people to recover from Mental Health problems and stop potential suicide attempts and threats! They have very high and rigorous standards and all the trainers are Kennel Club Registered.

Kaiser will be trained to detect all sorts of potential threats including increased levels of heart rate, the onset of PTSD and EUPD and he will be able to understand when Aimee's mood fluctuates and changes so she can be helped immediately. If a situation is too stressful, he will be trained to understand and will use his protection skills in order to comfort her and make her feel more settled in any environment.

Kaiser's training over the next two years will be very expensive but very important as he will literally be a life saver for her! We have paid £1500 for this little dog but are asking for any help to go towards his continued training over the next two years. All funds donated through this page will go towards his intensive training, his continuing vaccinations and his specialised insurance.

Kaiser will also have his own facebook and instagram page and he will be registered with the Recovery Assistance Dog charity so you can all follow their journey from the beginning!

For anyone that is kind enough to help with this very important dog, on behalf of Aimee and all the family, we are forever grateful for your generosity, no matter how big or small. Every penny counts towards this very special little chap (who will soon become enormous!) :)

Any funds raised over the amount we need will go to the Recovery Assistance Dogs UK charity as they rely only on donations to run the organisation.

Thank for for reading this and please share to anyone who you think would wish to donate towards his training.
