Kain's Survival Fund

Kain is a Black and brown, trans-genderfluid, queer, and disabled (neurodivergent) being who is experiencing severe mental health crises, long-term burnout, financial instability, and housing insecurity.

Over the past year they have been in unsafe housing situations and endured anti-Black and ableist abuse, leading to long-lasting harm. Recently they lost contact with their blood relatives due to transphobia. They have been in non-stop survival mode, struggling with severe depression, disordered eating, sleep issues, digestion problems, and more.

They urgently need financial support to assist with rent, medication, transition-related expenses, therapy, student loan repayments, and other costs of living. The fundraiser amount is subject to change depending on additional emergency costs that may arise, but the current amount is projected to cover at least 6 months of their immediate expenses and needs. Having their basic needs met will give them the chance to have stability for the first time in their life, which is crucial to give them a space to heal and build a future.

Kain deserves to have a chance to heal from their ongoing traumas and they desperately need an opportunity to be able to dream and discover joy in life. They deserve to wake up every day wanting to stay alive. Please contribute if you are able to, and share widely with your peers.
