Kahi Simon Memorial Fundraiser for mental health

Donation protected
On the 1st October 2023 Kahi Simon, a 20 year old young man, lost his battle with depression and mental illness. Kahi's life was cut short by suicide, leaving his family and friends in grief and shock.

Kahi was a loving son of Kelly, Wade, Ben and Kate and a caring big brother to his brother Kalani and sister Malu. He was a kind and gentle soul that cared deeply for the people in his world.

Kahi struggled internally with an immense sadness that only those closest to him ever saw.
He had amazing support from family and friends, however in terms of professional mental health care he could not easily access the services needed.

Even in the shadows of his own illness, Kahi always wanted to help others…especially young people and children. Although he struggled to help himself, he found some sense of purpose and peace when he felt like he was helping others not to suffer in the ways that he did.

We, his loved ones, are determined to ensure that his memory brings about positive change in the world. Kahi's story is a reminder of the harsh reality that far too many individuals face when they are suffering from mental health challenges. The stigma surrounding mental illness and the lack of accessible support and resources have profound consequences.

Our goal is to raise funds in Kahi's memory to support suicide prevention efforts. Your generous contributions will be directed towards an organisation where this money will be best utilised to assist in suicide prevention and running healing camps as a proactive intervention to struggles of our youth most affected by his loss, eventually branching out to helping provide more support to young people in need.

Your donation, no matter the size, will make a profound impact. Let's come together in Kahi's memory to support the cause of suicide prevention and honor his life in a meaningful way. We will keep everyone updated with the progress and how your generous contributions will be utilised.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
