Kaden has been diagnosed with an autoinflammatory disease called Behcet’s Disease. This is a rare chronic disease that can cause inflammation in any of the blood vessels in your body. Behcet's Disease has no cure. Kaden has experienced painful ulcers, severe headaches, many abdominal complications, infections, rashes, skin lesions, swollen joints, seizures, and just overall fatigue and pain. Behcet's can cause many other very scary complications. Kaden is also being treated for other health issues that stem from all of the inflammation in his body.
Our goal is to get a service dog for Kaden. Having a service dog will help Kaden to regain independence and confidence, help him with daily tasks that can be very difficult when he is ill and alert us if he needs help. A service dog will also provide comfort during difficult appointments and hospital admissions. We will be working with Dulebohn Service Dogs out of Wapakoneta, OH. Behcet’s has taken so much from him, but we are hopeful that a service dog will help give him a better quality of life. Thank you for all of your support and for loving our boy!
