Lending a Helping Hand for Evie

Bob and Phuong Cronk have been such dear special people to all of us. Through facebook, text messaging, phone calls, and conversations, we have been able to follow their adventures with big sister Ruby and their incredible journey with their precious daughter, Evie. Two months after Evie was adopted, she was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia which required major surgery.  Over time, as Evie recovered, her liver continued to fail and the Cronks were told that she would require a liver transplant.

Prayers were answered just after Thanksgiving when they received "the call" that a donor liver was available for Evie.   Due to the amazing team at Stanford Children's Hospital, Evie had a very successful transplant and is now beginning the long road to recovery.  She and Phuong are being housed at the Ronald McDonald House on campus and Phuong is on an extended leave of absence to care for her.  Bob remains in Portland with Ruby.  During this very scary and crazy time Bob and Phuong have made it a goal of theirs to seek out the best care they could find for Evie, keep Ruby's routine and life as normal as possible and to make sure that both of their daughters know how loved they are.  As you could imagine, the Cronks have been accruing an overwhelming amount of medical bills, unpaid time away from work and a handful of other expenses that they obviously hadn't anticipated.

The hope is that through this account, we can help The Cronks with a small token of our love by giving any type of monetary contribution to assist the family in Evie's recovery.  It is with a humbled heart that I thank all of you ahead of time, and that together we might really be able to impact a family that has touched all of our lives in some way.
