Cancer treatment for Vito
Donation protected
(this campaign is created by Daniel Imecs on behalf of my sister, Judit Imecs)
Dear friends and all good willed people!
As many of you know, or those who don't know, my husband, father of our two children, Vito, has been struggling more than a year with an aggressive form of lymphoma, a large B-cell Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Last year it seemed to be a cure for the disease, but it soon returned and it is even more difficult to battle with this year. So much that the Hungarian medicine seems not having more options to continue a successful therapy.
We have a chance to a foreign treatment, called CAR-T - cell therapy. In America, it is already widespread, in Europe is slowly catching up, but in Germany we would be able to use the treatment.
Therapy is free for us within the framework of clinical research, funded by the pharmaceutical company. However, for Vito to be included in the program, a preliminary 5-day medical examination is required, which costs 10,000 euros at the German clinic. There will be also other costs associated with the treatment, which we have to face, total of approximately 40,000 euros. The Hungarian Health Insurance does not reimburse any costs related to clinical research.
Unfortunately, our financial possibilities are not sufficient for this amount, so I ask for your smallest donation which could help Vito to get into this program. We are very grateful for all possible support.
